As the Alaska Credit Union League (ACUL) celebrates its 50th anniversary, we are thrilled to introduce the Rising Star Program! This program allows emerging leaders within the Alaskan credit union landscape to experience the annual ACUL conference at little to no cost.

Select Your Rising Star

Each ACUL credit union is invited to select an emerging leader to represent them as their Rising Star. How each credit union determines who their Rising Star will be is up to them, but those selected should meet the following criteria:

  • They are either early on in their professional career or early on in their credit union career.

  • They are aspirational and energetic in their role, and exhibit leadership amongst their peers.

  • They are passionate about the credit union movement and making a difference in their community.

Register Your Rising Star

The deadline to register a Rising Star is April 12. To register your Rising Star, email events@cu1.org with their full name, contact information, a professional headshot, and a brief bio. We will contact them to arrange travel details. 

What is Included

Each Rising Star will receive:

  • Free registration, lodging, and airfare from Anchorage to the 2024 ACUL Annual Meeting and Conference. Each credit union will be responsible for securing airfare to and from Anchorage if necessary.

  • A facilitator will be provided to help guide them throughout the event.

  • All the benefits of registration including conference sessions, evening activities and meals throughout the conference.

  • They will be offered a special meet and greet with their fellow Rising Stars and seated together when possible.

  • The 2024 agenda includes a panel where Rising Stars will have the opportunity to share their insights and ideas for the industry's future.
